Bugle beaded masks
These are a selection of masks I originally created to be worn on one of my Jesters. I found that they needed to be a bit larger to handle the beading, so I no longer make them for that purpose. They are now strictly made to be a collectible for anyone who enjoys masks. They are made of paper mache that I do by hand – I prefer to use tissue paper because I find that it can get into the details of the silicone mold easier than a thicker paper. Several layers need to be done to build up some rigidity. Then I paint the base and hand set each bugle bead to create a pattern. These range in size, but are approximately 6″ at the tallest (the blue mask), and 6″ at the widest (the sun).
